Objects & Sculpture

Conservator | Art
Restorer

After earning his first degree in Design from the University of Fernando Estévez School of Art in Spain, his professors quickly recognised his exceptional talent. He was recommended for a transfer to Italy to undertake formal training in conservation at the prestigious Palazzo Spinelli Institute of Art and Restoration in Florence. There, he completed a degree in the Conservation of Ceramics and Stone, followed by further diplomas in Archaeological Materials and Pottery.

From an early age, he was considered a prodigy in drawing and carving—skills that have evolved into over 30 years of experience in the conservation and restoration of objects and sculpture. His career has included working with leading conservation companies across Europe and the UK.

He has held senior roles in Florence, Scotland, and throughout the UK, contributing to the preservation of some of the most significant cultural landmarks and collections. Notable projects include conservation work on statuary and masonry at national monuments such as Stirling Castle, Windsor Castle, Hampton Court Palace, Buckingham Palace, and numerous private estates and historic homes.

His expertise has also been sought by esteemed institutions, including the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as various private collections throughout London.

His portfolio spans ancient artefacts—including Roman and Egyptian antiquities—as well as Old Masters and contemporary artworks. He has worked on pieces by prominent artists such as Anish Kapoor, Banksy, Cy Twombly, and Allen Jones. Notably, he was commissioned to repair several damaged works for Ai Weiwei’s first London exhibition, restoring multiple pieces that had arrived shattered from China.

Our Vision

The Importance of Restoration & Conservation

Restoration is not simply about repair; it is about respect—for the original artist’s intent, for historical authenticity, and for the material integrity of each piece. Conservation ensures that artworks are stabilised and protected, preventing further deterioration while preserving their aesthetic and historical value.
